Prior's Lupin Twin Splitboard - A true twin tip splitboard for women from Prior Snowboards on Vimeo.
The new 2012/2013 Lupin Twin shape gets inspiration from Prior’s popular All Mountain Freestyle (AMF) men’s board, with several key differences. While it still has the twin shape and proven hybrid rocker profile, the Lupin Twin’s generous sidecut, narrower waist and flex pattern designed for women’s physiques create a board for women to take their riding to the next level.
XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Prior splitboards and saves an average of 500 grams (1lb 1oz) off a Prior splitboard pressed with our standard quadraxial fiberglass.
Profile: Hybrid Rocker
Rider type: Self-propelled snowboarders who want the freedom of riding a twin tip shape in untracked powder whenever and wherever they want.
Best for: Progressive snowboard riding in the backcountry for female riders or smaller guys. Launch big airs, land switch, rip powder strong side or switch.

Note: Weight includes tip/tail clips and chinese hooks.
Available in traditional Quadglass Construction or Prior's new XTC Carbon Construction.
XTC Carbon Construction
Prior’s new, high-performance XTC Carbon Construction for winter 2011/12 brings splitboard technology to the next level. XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Prior splitboards and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off a Prior splitboard. Weight reduction continues to be a key to backcountry riding as less weight means more vertical with less physical exertion. Ensuring that there is no decrease in performance with weight savings is often thought of as the Holy Grail for backcountry gear manufacturers and Prior’s XTC Carbon Construction takes a big leap towards that spiritual cup. In layman’s terms XTC Carbon Construction uses the same vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets as in their traditional construction but replaces the fibreglass weave with Prior’s newly developed XTC carbon material.

Quadglass Construction
Prior Snowboards' quadraxial glass/carbon composite (quad glass) is a stitched fabric with fibers running in four directions (+30, -30, 0 and +90 degrees). It also contains two 6cm-wide, 10-count carbon strips running lengthwise 4cm from the center of the board. The quadglass material is layered on each side of a vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets. The fiberglass/carbon configuration of quadglass creates a responsive, long lasting ride with excellent torsional stability. The additional directional weave creates enhanced torsional stiffness in comparison to the triaxial fibreglass construction.

Olga Cuttell Olga was born in Ufa Russia (Bashkortostan), just west of the Ural Mountains, about two decades before the fall of communism. She moved to Western Canada in 2005. Surrounded by the inspirational landscapes of BC, Olga began her journey into artistic expression. Olga is an untrained artist who had been sketching and painting recreationally her whole young life. Her work attempts to present it as a given that there is no greater source of positive inspiration than nature; be it lonely, majestic, playful or powerful. Season 2012/13 represents the third year that Olga has worked with Prior. For a deeper look into her work visit her website www.oladesign.net. |

Clarence Mills A Haida native from Skidegate in the Queen Charlotte Islands, Clarence Mills is an established Haida artist known throughout the world. His works sell in museums, galleries and native art shops throughout Europe and North America. He creates glass totems, engraved silver and gold jewelry, cedar and glass bowls, doors and limited edition prints, but Mills’ claim to fame rests in his prowess as a carver. He was a featured artist at Expo 86 in Vancouver and Expo 88 in Brisbane, Australia where he carved a six meter totem pole that graced the entrance outside the Canadian Pavilion. In 1997, he was commissioned to carve a 4 meter high cedar totem for a native exhibit at the Louvre Museum in Paris. Mills has been given a gift from his ancestors. He endows his creations with a powerful energy, smooth flowing style and images that speak through his symbolic Haida figures. He strives for one achievement – to begin a process for many people who have never understood their connection to the spirits of the land and all its creatures. The Haida Eagle Topsheet is the most popular graphic ever used in the Prior line and this current version of it is the 4th year that it has been in the line in various forms. |

Mat Miller Freelance illustrator and designer from the UK working in the realms of vector illustration, photo montage/manipulation and mixed media. His work is influenced by contemporary graffiti and lowbrow art along with many things from the natural world. Mat defines his work as mixed media since he uses a great variety of techniques to bring the final image together. These include sketches both in graphite and ink, watercolour studies, photographic elements, digital painting and vector artwork. Subject matter covers nature quite heavily, whilst adding surreal, off-beat and fluid elements. He enjoys using vibrant colour palettes but also works in softer tones as well. Mat has always wanted to be an 'artist' of some description ever since he discovered he was fairly good at drawing at a young age. After attending The University of Huddersfield studying Creative Imaging he's now very focussed on making a living from doing what he loves and enjoys! Mat was featured in Digital Arts Magazine as one of the 'Best young UK Illustrators 2009’ With a relatively young career in the creative industries, Mat’s aim is to keep on working with new people on highly creative projects whilst having fun along the way. |
