The Fissile is a powder board that combines the nose and floatation of a longboard with the performance and nimbleness of a shortboard. It will have you singing thru the trees at mach speed and turning so easily is seems all you have to do is think about it and the board is reacting just how you want it to. No-worries when you encounter crud, mixed up snow and icy conditions either as the Fissile handles the complete gamut of winter conditions with ease.
The Fissile has a directional, powder profiled nose that is bigger than anything else in the Prior lineup – it also comes with the shortest radius sidecut that we make. This crazy combination has an early rise tip and tail for enhanced powder float and mobility. Plenty of stability for speed, you can step on your front foot and straightline big drops with speed and confidence. It’s crazy good.
The Fissile is named after a large, prominent Peak behind Whistler Mountain that contains perhaps the biggest, baddest couloir in the valley (of course that’s debatable).

Triaxial Fiberglass with Single Carbon Beam
21oz. Tri glass single carb is a stitched fabric with glass fibers running in three directions +45, -45, and 0 degrees; it also has a 5cm wide 9-count carbon centre beam running lengthwise through the fabric and along the center of the board. The triaxial material is layered on each side of a vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets. This glass/carbon configuration adds extra pop, performance and weight savings compared with regular triaxial glass without impacting torsional flexion.
