Board comes with tip/tail clips and Chinese hooks. All other splitboard hardware is available on our accessories page.
The Swallowtail Splitboard provides the most efficient, directional powder ride of all our splitboard styles. This board performs in all conditions; however, its true beauty is experienced in glades and alpine bowls that are full of untouched powder. Its swallowtail shape allows for a more even stance resulting in an effortless, powerful powder ride that keeps you climbing for more. Set yourself free...
The proven swallowtail design means that the tail sinks in the powder - as a result the rider can power equally off both feet and does not have to lean back to keep his/her tip up which means no more back leg burn in the powder.
Profile- Nose Rocker
Best for - Excels in soft open bowl and gladed powder of all descriptions. Also rides well in hardpack, crud, and variable snowpack.
Rider type - Self propelled backcountry adventurers and powder hounds that ride directionally and want the added benefits of the swallowtail design.

XTC Carbon Construction
Prior’s new, high-performance XTC Carbon Construction for winter 2011/12 brings splitboard technology to the next level. XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Prior splitboards and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off a Prior splitboard. Weight reduction continues to be a key to backcountry riding as less weight means more vertical with less physical exertion. Ensuring that there is no decrease in performance with weight savings is often thought of as the Holy Grail for backcountry gear manufacturers and Prior’s XTC Carbon Construction takes a big leap towards that spiritual cup. In layman’s terms XTC Carbon Construction uses the same vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets as in their traditional construction but replaces the fibreglass weave with Prior’s newly developed XTC carbon material.

Quadglass Construction
Prior Snowboards' quadraxial glass/carbon composite (quad glass) is a stitched fabric with fibers running in four directions (+30, -30, 0 and +90 degrees). It also contains two 6cm-wide, 10-count carbon strips running lengthwise 4cm from the center of the board. The quadglass material is layered on each side of a vertically laminated maple and aspen woodcores combined with UHMW sidewalls and bases and nylon topsheets. The fiberglass/carbon configuration of quadglass creates a responsive, long lasting ride with excellent torsional stability. The additional directional weave creates enhanced torsional stiffness in comparison to the triaxial fibreglass construction.

Olga Cuttell Olga was born in Ufa Russia (Bashkortostan), just west of the Ural Mountains, about two decades before the fall of communism. She moved to Western Canada in 2005. Surrounded by the inspirational landscapes of BC, Olga began her journey into artistic expression. Olga is an untrained artist who had been sketching and painting recreationally her whole young life. Her work attempts to present it as a given that there is no greater source of positive inspiration than nature; be it lonely, majestic, playful or powerful. Season 2011/12 represents the second year that Olga has worked with Prior. For a deeper look into her work visit her website www.oladesign.net. |

Topsheet Artwork
Topsheet design and colour options are almost unlimited. We can print topsheets of photo color quality. All topsheets are sublimated onto a white, gloss nylon topsheet for a professional look and finish. (sorry we cannot sublimate onto a clear topsheet material). Above prices based on receipt of art in digital file format in either of the following formats:
* For art that is done in vector based (ie. Illustrator or similar) program we require artwork in both eps and JPEG formats.
* For bit mapped based art (ie. Photoshop or similar) we require TIFF and JPEG formats. The File size must be 200 DPI in rectangular shape that measures 3cm longer than desired board length x 34cm wide. Note that TIFF file size will likely be greater than 100 MB and TIFF file must be sent on CD or DVD.
